Finn Hansbro is a multidisciplinary creative practitioner based in Leeds, UK, working across photography, moving image and creative technologies.
Currently, he is studying BSc Creative Technologies at Leeds Arts University- having previously completed an Extended Diploma in Creative Practice at the university. Through his time on the Extended Diploma, he developed an interest in combining different disciplines, processes and technologies to address his creative problems.
Finn’s work is a continuous exploration of our experiences with the world and in particular how we interact and react to it. These explorations have been anchored by his experience with digital photography and moving images; in his degree, he is particularly interested in the intersection between traditional creative practices and emerging digital approaches.
Finn continues to be open-minded in his work through his technical explorations and how they contribute to his traditional creative training. A staple of his practice is allowing a medium to respond to his ideas, while rejecting the restriction of an idea to a particular medium. This has allowed him to continually look outward in his work and constantly explore emerging ideas and technologies.
Based in Leeds, he continues to develop his practice through his studies at Leeds Arts University and independent creative projects.
